INDOS (Indian National Database of Seafarers) is a unique number issued by DG Shipping that every Indian seafarer needs for STCW courses and sea service. Our team can guide you through the INDOS application.
No. Under DGS Order No. 12 of 2026, from 01 August 2026 a CDC is no longer issued solely on the basis of the 5 Basic STCW courses. You must qualify through an approved category, such as DG Shipping–approved pre-sea training, eligible hospitality/OCCP candidates, Agniveers, ex-Indian Navy personnel, certified cooks or CoC holders. Applications submitted before 01 August 2026 follow the previous rules.
