Important NoticeThe Directorate General of Shipping (DGS) has issued DGS Order No. 12 of 2026, revising the eligibility criteria for obtaining an Indian Continuous Discharge Certificate (CDC).
Effective from 01 August 2026, obtaining a CDC solely on the basis of completing the 5 Basic STCW Courses has been discontinued.
Candidates must now be eligible through approved categories such as:
Important: CDC applications submitted before 01 August 2026 will be processed under the previous rules, and already issued CDCs will remain valid.
