CDC eligibility has changed (DGS Order No. 12 of 2026). From 01 August 2026, completing only the 5 Basic STCW courses no longer qualifies you for an Indian CDC. Eligible categories include DG Shipping–approved pre-sea training, hospitality/OCCP candidates, Agniveers, ex-Indian Navy personnel, certified cooks and CoC holders.

If you are new to the Merchant Navy, Basic Safety Training (BST) is usually the first course. Tanker courses (OTCTO, LGTFC) need BST first, and refreshers are for renewing existing certificates. Send an enquiry and we will suggest the right course for you.
Minimum age is 17 years; DG Shipping course guidelines do not specify an upper age limit. You need to be 10th pass, hold an INDOS number and have a medical fitness certificate from a DG Shipping–approved doctor. Some courses need earlier certificates.
INDOS (Indian National Database of Seafarers) is a unique number issued by DG Shipping that every Indian seafarer needs for STCW courses. If you do not have one, our team will guide you through the application.
No. Under DGS Order No. 12 of 2026, from 01 August 2026 a CDC is no longer issued solely on the basis of the 5 Basic STCW courses. You must qualify through an approved category such as DG Shipping–approved pre-sea training, hospitality/OCCP, Agniveers, ex-Indian Navy, certified cooks or CoC holders.
Fees range from ₹2,000 to ₹10,500 depending on the course. You can book your seat now and pay the fee at the time of document verification. Ask us about current special discounts.

Usually photo ID, 10th mark sheet and certificate, INDOS number, passport-size photographs and a medical fitness certificate. Refresher and tanker courses also need your previous certificates.
